Spring nucs!

Taking orders for 2024 spring nucs.

$180 Medium 5 frame nuc – available mid to late May

$200 Deep 5 frame nuc – available mid-late May

($50 nonrefundable deposit due at time of order)

Bees will all be from same colony with a 2024 mated marked laying queen. All drawn comb! 1 frame pollen, 1 frame honey / nectar, 2-3 frames brood and comb.

For the past 5+ years I have averaged less than 10% winter loss. I bring in VSH queen genetics each year into the apiary. I work to keep mites low all year round following IPM strategies and testing multiple times a year. Colonies will have state apiary inspection prior to sale. Nucs are available in cardboard transport nuc box or a returnable 5 frame plastic nuc box ($20 deposit…or you may choose to keep).

I started my beekeeping journey in 2010 and moved here to our current location in 2018. Over the years the farm has grown to include not only bees, but ducks, chickens, goats, dogs, and a cat. There's a pollinator field in the back and plenty of space for growing some fruits and vegetables. In 2022, I began to grow Chinese Ginger and Turmeric which is available in the fall months to our farm customers. The High Tunnel, added in 2024, has been helpful in expanding our products.
